Our   Identity

storytellers bring their ideas to life through books, media, and events — handled with excellence from concept to creation.

Our Unique Rhythm

To stand as the leading literary and media hub for Africa and the African diaspora, empowering African voices and preserving African stories for generations to come. We envision a world where Africa’s narratives — at home and abroad — are told with excellence, authenticity, and global reach, shaping conversations that inspire, educate, and transform.
To provide excellent, affordable, and accessible publishing and media services that transform ideas into books, podcasts, films/videos, and public platforms. We walk alongside authors, creatives, and storytellers from across Africa and the diaspora, nurturing the next generation of African talent while ensuring every project we undertake is crafted with care, cultural pride, and professional excellence.

  • 100% African-led – We are driven by the continent’s and the diaspora’s most passionate creatives, who understand the heart, rhythms, and voices of our people.
  • End-to-End Support – From ghostwriting and editing to book design, event planning, and media production — we’re with you every step of the way.
  • Heart-Centered Service – We listen, guide, and celebrate our clients, ensuring their stories shine as brightly as their dreams.
  • African Voices at the Center – We tell our truth, in our way, for the world to hear — unapologetically African, universally resonant.

Writers Afrika Network (W.A.N) is a Pan-African creative agency dedicated to helping authors, storytellers, and thought leaders transform their ideas into professionally published books and impactful media.
Founded in Nairobi, Kenya in 2024, WAN was birthed from a deep desire to amplify African and African diaspora voices and bridge the gap between raw talent and global storytelling standards. We believe that Africa’s stories are as diverse, powerful, and beautiful as the continent itself — and they deserve to be told with excellence.

Our tagline, “We are Afrika. We are WAN”, carries multiple layers of meaning. In the Luo language, wan translates to “us” — a celebration of community and togetherness. It’s also a wordplay on the English word “one”, symbolising unity, collaboration, and the philosophy of Ubuntu: I am because we are. This embodies both our name and our mission — to stand as one with storytellers across the continent, creating narratives that connect, inspire, and transform.

We walk with our clients from story to spotlight. Whether you are an emerging writer with a dream or a seasoned professional with a message to share, our role is to ensure that your voice is heard, your story is refined, and your work reaches the audiences it was meant for.

Our services span the entire creative journey:

Ghostwriting & Editing – turning concepts into compelling manuscripts that meet international standards while preserving your unique voice.

Publishing Solutions – guiding authors through layout, printing, ISBN registration, and distribution.

Media Production – producing high-quality visuals, book trailers, and multimedia content to enhance visibility and engagement.

Launch & Event Planning– curating impactful book launches, literary events, and brand experiences that connect you with your audience.

At W.A.N, we are more than a service provider — we are a partner in your creative journey, committed to celebrating and elevating African narratives. Our mission is simple yet profound: to empower storytellers to create work that inspires, educates, and transforms, while showcasing Africa’s rich literary and cultural heritage to the world.

You’ve poured your heart and mind into your manuscript — now it’s time to bring it to life.
